Ireland, William Deane,Bronze Medal
Deane was a solicitor and officer of the Court of Chancery. A member of the Royal Irish Academy, he also established a glass works to make bottles and window glass.
Early in 1754 William Deane and Co. purchased the glass-house from Alderman Bailie and carried on the bottle-making industry, the concern being known as the Square Glass House.
