Prussia, Frederick 11, the Great, Battle of Rossbach.

The Battle of Rossbach was one of Frederick's greatest victories, although ostensibly between Prussia and France, it had a much greater significance on the world stage. It allowed Frederick the breathing space to survive for the next few years and showed the British the significance of Prussia in keeping the French down during the Seven Years War.Prussia and Britain had formed an alliance the previous year.
Whereas the British Parliament approved £167,000 of financial support to Frederick in 1757, this increased to £1,200,000 in 1758, "which in terms of money is evidence of what the English thought."
