George III, wax portrait, , circa 1775, by Isaac Gosset, draped bust of George III profile right, with hair tied back and wearing a sash, 185 x 155 mm (including frame); contained within original oval wooden frame. A Hairline crack to the neck, otherwise extremely fine. £Sold

According to Riley & Savage p.163, the Wedgwood portrait of George III by William Hackwood was modelled, with some adaptations, on this wax by Isaac Gosset.
