Admiral Lord Howe, jasperware plaque, circa 1798, by J de Vaere for Wedgwood, bare head uniformed bust of Earl Howe with hair tied back profile right, rev. firing holes and stamped, WEDGWOOD, 130 x 115 mm including frame, contained in contemporary gilt brass frame. A tiny chip to the edge of the collar, otherwise good very fine, a striking early example. £Sold
