Swiss Society, bronze pass, circa 1780, three men standing with cap of liberty on a fasces, rev. clasped hands with bow, arrow and cap, LA SOCIETE DES SUISSES, 33 mm, (DW. 192/717; M. G. 1133 var). A die flaw on the obverse, good very fine and very rare. £150.00
Countermarked 4 presumably for 4 sou, as appears on other varieties.
A later version of a pass for this society has the legend, "Societe Mutuelle Des Suisse a Londres, Fondee le 27 Decembre 1703.
