George Gilbert Scott,
Sir George Gilbert Scott, (1811- 1878). Architect.
He was heavily involved in the Gothic Revival and was one of our most prolific architects.Much of his work was abroad in the Empire and especially India. Today two of his works are most obviously admired in London, St. Pancras and the Albert Memorial. He was also greatly involved in the restoration of medieval churches, which was not without controversy.
