Death of Charles I, silver gilt medal, 1649, bust of Charles I with long hair and lace collar, with lionís head on shoulder and two roses over his head, SUCCESSOR VERUS UTRIUSQUE (THE TRUE SUCCESSOR OF EACH) rev. a hammer striking a diamond upon an anvil, INEXPUGNABILIS. 1648 (UNCONQUERABLE), 42 mm (MI 340/189), with integral loop for suspension. Cast and chased; slightly rubbed on the high points, otherwise nearly extremely fine and very rare. £Sold
